Shands Hospital is one of the most advanced research and teaching hospitals in
the world. It is a leading center for kidney transplants and includes departments
specializing in oncology, pediatrics, and neurology. Shands is also one of the only
teaching hospitals in the United States to include four professional and graduate
schools: the Colleges of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, and Physical Therapy. To
