Layer upon layer of paint coats the 34th Street Wall, which is
home to messages and artwork painted by students and
Gainesville residents. The wall is located on S.W. 34th Street
between University Avenue and Archer Road. Forty-five panels
long, some sections of the wall are covered in more than 250
layers of paint. From birthday wishes and political comments to
invitations and memorials, the 34th Street Wall has served as the
Gator Nation’s unofficial announcement board since the 1970s.
