Despite its similarity to a popular fast food, this modern art structure next to Marston Science Library
is actually named “Alachua” because it resembles the headdress of the Alachua Native American
culture. Students use this area as a common meeting spot on campus. You’ll be hard pressed to find
another campus with a structure as unique as our “fries.”
