Recreation Center
Get in a good sweat
With more than 25 fields and courts to go along with a recent $16.3 million renovation, Southwest Recreation Center
is the ultimate place for Gators to work out. More than 2 million students have come through the 140,000-square-
foot facility since it opened in 1994. You can also rent sports equipment and sign up for RecSports at Southwest!
With eight different league sports and more than 30 special events and tournaments offered each year, it is no
surprise that approximately 85 percent of the student body participates in some kind of RecSport. If you don’t have
enough people to field a team, visit the RecSports website and sign up to be a free agent.
