Gator Wrap Ring

Gators Succeed
The Gator Wrap ring has been a tradition among UF students and alumni since the late
1930s. Designed by former UF President Stephen C. O’Connell, the Gator Wrap has
remained unchanged through the years and is the official class ring for all graduating
Gators. Students receive their rings at a symbolic ring ceremony, hosted by the UF
Alumni Association. At commencement, new graduates turn their rings around to
symbolize that they are ready to face the world.
