The Nursing
College Council, the UF Nursing Student Association and
the Gator Nurse Ambassadors are actively engaged with the
College, the nursing profession, and the community. This
experience is very valuable for our students.
Take advantage of College and professional events,
conferences and seminars that allow you to be immersed in
the latest health care topics:
Be an engaged and active learner,
going beyond the classroom and clinical setting.
Balance studies and time for recreation.

Plan ahead:
Start early in organizing the major tasks that need

for exams and papers, and plan to get those tasks accomplished
well before the deadlines.
Find a quiet place to study:
Seek a spot that is free of
distractions and one that you can use on a regular basis.
Don’t miss any classes:
Go to every class and participate
actively in class activities and group assignments.
Get to know your professors:
Introduce yourself to your
instructors and identify faculty members who could potentially
serve as a resource or mentor to you.
“Go deep.” Volunteer to do more than is expected:
Find an
academic or community service activity that interests you and
get involved!
