About the Gator Wrap

No other university has a deeper sense of tradition and pride than does the University of Florida. From embracing one another to sing "We are the Boys of Old Florida" to lounging in the Plaza of Americas or walking through Turlington Plaza, Gators understand that attending the University of Florida is more than just going to school…it is a way of life. No matter what years you spent at the university, you will always share a special bond with fellow Gators. That's why the UF Alumni Association and the Student Alumni Association is launching an official ring program, featuring the Gator Wrap.

The Gator Wrap has been a tradition among University of Florida students and alumni since the late 1930s. Designed by then Student Body President and former University President Stephen C. O'Connell, the Gator Wrap encompasses the traditions and memories that make up the University of Florida experience. It symbolizes that you are a Gator and allows us to recognize each other when we are not wearing our orange and blue. The class ring is available for alumni and students who have completed 60 credit hours at the University of Florida.

For questions or ordering information, please visit or call your Herff Jones Sales Professional, Steve Smith, at (904) 641-4060. Class rings are also available for purchase at the UF Bookstore.

The Gator Wrap is unique, special and distinguishable; just like a Florida Gator.

This is your heritage. Wear it well.
