Alumni everywhere can now listen to Gainesville programming in their choice of two languages thanks to a new Spanish language radio station launched by the UF College of Journalism and Communications.
WUFT Ahora, which can be heard in Gainesville on 89.1 HD3 or anywhere via the Internet, is the first school-run, 24-hour Spanish language radio station launched in the United States. It currently features news, public affairs and variety programming produced by NPR Ahora, and in the near future is expected to feature locally produced student newscasts.
