The premier performance and release party for singer and UF alumna Karen Adair's first Christmas album, "When God is a Child," is 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 at the Brick City Center for the Arts in Downtown Ocala. Her repertoire will include new arrangements of holiday classics and the premier of a new song cycle. Hors d'oeuvres will precede the performance and a CD signing will follow.
