Seeking 2009's Gran Caimán

UF’s Association of Hispanic Alumni continues its tradition of recognizing outstanding alumni. Nominations for this year’s Gran Caimán are now being accepted. The winner will be awarded during the 6th annual Gator Guayabera Guateque on Saturday, May 9, at Jungle Island, overlooking downtown Miami.

Nominees must be Hispanic alumni, great representatives of UF, contributors to their educational, cultural or social communities, provide leadership, compassion and integrity to the people they serve, and be loyal and spirited Gators. A summary of a nominee’s background and involvement must be provided. Most importantly, include in the summarized nomination why the person should be chosen. Send nominations to honda182@alumni.ufl.edu no later than Friday, Feb. 27.
