More than 250 Gator Club® officers and volunteers met in Gainesville Jan. 16 and 17 for Leaders Weekend, an annual conference that offers training and fellowship. The weekend, themed “Gator Nation Inauguration — A Salute to the Orange and Blue,” included seminars on best practices in the areas of membership, outreach, communication and advocacy.

Leaders Weekend was highlighted with the Clubbies Award Show. A range of awards were presented to clubs from around the state and country. Among them, the Treasure Coast Gator Club was recognized for most improved in-state club, while the Lone Star Gator Club was honored for most improved out-of-state. In-state, the most outstanding club awards went to Nassau County, Sarasota County and Palm Beach County, while the out-of-state winners were Rocket City, Windy City and Washington, D.C.
