Orientations magazine, published in Hong Kong and distributed to art connoisseurs worldwide, devoted its entire October issue to the Asian art collection at UF’s Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art.
The issue features an interview with Jason Steuber, the Harn’s Cofrin Curator of Asian Art, as well as an array of articles by internationally recognized Asian art experts.
“Orientations is the global authoritative source of information on the arts of East and Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent,” says Rebecca Nagy, director of the Harn Museum of Art. “This is the first time a university museum has been featured throughout an entire issue, and it’s a prestigious moment in the progress toward opening the David A. Cofrin Asian Art Wing in March 2012.”
“This celebratory issue demonstrates the Harn’s commitment to making its Asian art collection available for study and research to the international field of Asian art scholars, collectors and students,” Steuber says. “It captures the vision of Dr. Cofrin and his great interest in Asian art at the Harn Museum.”
