With the smell of barbecue wafting through the air, thousands of Gator fans poured onto the North Lawn of the Ben Hill Griffin stadium to enjoy food and fun during the University of Florida Alumni Association’s Orange and Blue Barbecue.

Held in conjunction with the annual Orange and Blue football game, the Association provided pounds of barbecue chicken, pork and all the fixins’ for the hungry Gator chompers. There was also plenty of entertainment for attendees to enjoy including stilt walkers, face painters, carnival games, inflatable slides and a rockin’ DJ. That evening, the Association honored our 25-year graduates from the University of Florida during our annual Silver Society event. With music from 1983 pumping in the background, over 100 Gator Grads strolled the red carpet to the screams of adoring “fans” vying for autographs and pictures. Guests were given superstar treatment dining on delicious food and being escorted to various locations in Emerson Alumni Hall including the “green room,” “press room” and “theatre.” The evening culminated with each graduate receiving a medallion, certificate and photographs to commemorate this momentous occasion.
