Calling on the Gator Nation

Gators for Higher Education — a grassroots program working to maintain UF's threefold mission of education, research and service — is seeking alumni and friends to serve as advocates. The goal is to ensure that elected officials are informed about UF as they consider budget-cutting measures. The Florida Legislature is currently in its annual session in an era of budget cuts that could threaten the quality of education at UF.

UF, in partnership with the Alumni Association, created Gators for Higher Education to recruit volunteers who will be asked to contact legislators in support of UF at critical times during the legislative session. To become an advocate, visit http://gatorsforhighered.ufl.edu.
