UF Libraries to Hold 2nd Annual Elegance of Science Contest

The University of Florida's Marston Science Library and its partners, the Health Science Center Libraries, the Architecture & Fine Arts Library, and the Alumni Association are holding its second annual "Elegance of Science" contest. This contest will showcase the spectacular research happening at the University of Florida in an imaginative and unique format. Current faculty, students and staff of the University of Florida are being asked to submit artistic 2-D representations of their scientific research. A panel of judges will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes to entries which creatively merge science and art. An open house and awards reception to honor the winning artists will be held in the Marston Science Library during the beginning of the Spring 2010 semester. Additionally, winning entries will be displayed at the Marston Science Library, the Health Science Center Library, and the contest website during 2010.
