College Showcases and Luncheons
Agricultural and Life Sciences
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences is pleased to invite Grand
Guard members to the college luncheon. Enjoy great fellowship while
hearing about current student life from CALS Ambassadors and receive
updates from the administration about the new and exciting ways IFAS
continues to serve the citizens of Florida through research, extension and
academic programs.
Business Administration
The Warrington College of Business Administration and Dean John
Kraft invite Grand Guard alumni back to the college for a special luncheon
to hear about current happenings from faculty, students
and administrators.
Design, Construction and Planning
The College of Design, Construction and Planning invites you to a special
luncheon with Dean Chris Silver and program directors and chairs.
You will also tour the award-winning LEED Gold-certified Rinker Hall
and hear about college and campus sustainability initiatives.
Education
Please join College of Education Dean Catherine Emihovich for lunch in the
Terrace Room of “new Norman” and hear about the latest trends in education.
Also, be impressed by a performance from either the award-wining choir from P.K.
Yonge Development Research School or the music class from Baby Gator Child
Development and Research Center.
Engineering
The College of Engineering will host the Grand Guard luncheon at Emerson
Alumni Hall. The dean will present an overview of the college. In addition, several
outstanding engineering students will share their experiences. Grand Guard members
are encouraged to bring their memories to share.
Fine Arts
The School of Art and History, the School of Music and the School of Theatre and
Dance from the College of Fine Arts will host an informal luncheon and provide you
with the opportunity to learn about current projects and special programs.
Forestry
Grand Guard alumni will be treated to a luncheon at the Austin Cary Memorial
Forest. Please join other forestry graduates for this opportunity to visit with fellow
alumni, faculty and staff.
Health and Human Performance
The College of Health and Human Performance will host the Grand Guard luncheon
in the Florida Gym. Meet Dean Steve Dorman, who will present an overview of what’s
happening at the college, and interact with the faculty, administration and students.
Journalism and Communications
The College of Journalism and Communications extends a hearty welcome
and invitation to its Grand Guard alumni for an informal luncheon
at Weimer Hall. Dean John Wright will be on hand to share the latest
news and events from the college, while College Ambassadors will provide
inside scoop on student life. The college promises a grand time for
its Grand Guard!
Law
Celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Levin College of Law with a
brief lecture, luncheon and a tour of our new facilities.
Liberal Arts and Sciences
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences welcomes back its Grand Guard alumni.
Enjoy a special lunch in your honor, meet the dean and hear from our award
winning Creative Writing faculty as they discuss, "Creative Writing: Can it be Taught?".
Pharmacy
The College of Pharmacy welcomes back its Grand Guard alumni
and invites you to a luncheon with Dean William Riffee and fellow ’59
pharmacy classmates. Come meet current students and distinguished
professors, tour the pharmacy skills lab and museum and learn about the
programs and events at your college.
