Welcome
Dear Class of 1959 and Grand Guard Alumni
It is my sincere pleasure to welcome each and every one of you back
to campus as we induct the Class of 1959 into one of the most storied
Gator traditions, Grand Guard. This event will take place Thursday,
November 19th through Saturday, November 21st.
Grand Guard celebrates the 50th anniversary of your graduation
from the University of Florida. Not only are class members from 1959
invited, but we also encourage all graduates from 1958 and previous
years to join us in Gainesville for a weekend of fun and fellowship.
Several festivities are planned in association with the weekend.
There are lectures, tours, individual college luncheons, an induction
ceremony and the opportunity to see our 2008 national
championship Gator football team in action. This brochure will
offer you insight into what we have planned.
Congratulations to the Class of 1959 on this milestone achievement.
I hope to see many of you in November for Grand Guard Weekend.
